Wine and Wine Tasting

  • Messina Hof Hill Country – Experience 200 years of award winning tradition.  Extensive selection of wines including Port and Sherry.  Visit the Wine Garten and enjoy wines by the glass, flight or bottle under the shade of the canopy.  Located on Highway 290 just east of Fredericksburg.  Open daily at 11:00 am.
  • William Chris Wines – Family winery focusing on eco-friendly, Texas grown wines.  Located on Highway 290 in Hye.  Open daily Monday-Saturday at 10:00, Sundays at noon.
  • Bending Branch Winery - A small boutique Vineyard and Winery on 56 scenic acres, only a short drive outside Comfort, Texas.
  • Pedernales Cellars – The winery facility is a perfect balance of technology and tradition. Visitors have a chance to taste a range of outstanding wines and tour the state-of-the-art winemaking facility, including the largest underground barrel cellar in Texas. You can enjoy a glass of wine on the tree covered deck with breathtaking views of the Hill Country. Open Monday – Thursday 10 to 5, Friday – Saturday 10 to 6 and Sunday Noon to 6.
  • Rancho Ponte Vineyard - The newest winery in the Texas Hill Country. The beautiful winery and tasting room are nestled on 20 acres, surrounded by cattle and horse ranches. Open Wednesday through Sunday 10 to 5. Saturday until 6.
